This question depends on both the school that you want to get in and the level of their athletic program as there are over 3000 universities and colleges in the U.S. competing in hundreds of conferences and associations, each having varying athletic and academic requirements and standards. Universities are looking for a mix of athletic and academic achievement, plus personal commitment.
Talent matters a lot, and of course they are going to want those who are very talented but it is not the only criteria that coaches look for in a scholarship recipient. Colleges also want work ethic, good grades, hard workers, and team players.

What most students and even other recruiting companies don`t know is that it is actually against the rules of the NCAA (the governing body of college sports in the U.S.) for any student to be guaranteed a scholarship or financial aid from any company or agent. This can cause the NCAA Eligibility Center to give a student a “NOT ELIGIBLE” status. The NCAA decides your future and if you can play or not college sports in the U.S.A.
To always be safe and never jeopardize our student`s chances of joining a top university with a scholarship, University Pros always provides our services considering that the fee paid is not based on placing the prospective student-athlete in a collegiate institution as a recipient of institutional financial aid. This is simply against NCAA regulations. We will be helping you in every step of the process, and knowing this matter is part of our success.

The sooner we can get a student-athlete on a coach`s “radar” the better it will be. We also want to be sure that our students meet academic requirements and have ample time to prepare for all the testing. We would advise you begin the process 2 years before leaving high school, the earlier the better. The process from your initial application to obtaining your scholarship can take anywhere between 6-24 months depending on your sport and ability level. Leaving it to the last minute is definitely not the way to go.
