Universities are looking for a mix of athletic and academic achievement, plus personal commitment.

What most students and even other recruiting companies don`t know is that it is actually against the rules of the NCAA (the governing body of college sports in the U.S.) for any student to be guaranteed a scholarship or financial aid from any company or agent. The sooner we can get a student-athlete on a coach`s “radar” the better it will be. We also want to be sure that our students meet academic requirements and have ample time to prepare for all the testing. We would advise you begin the process 2 years before leaving high school, the earlier the better. The process from your initial application to obtaining your scholarship can take anywhere between 6-24 months depending on your sport and ability level. Leaving it to the last minute is definitely not the way to go.
